Peggy's cove - amazing place. Nova Scotia in spades. Beautiful lighthouse, beautiful huge rocks. Nova Scotia picturesque. Charles ruined it all. He said " this will probably be the best we'll see all day". .......and he was right!
Charles had a rare day of navigation excellence. Usually he doesn't have a clue of where he is or where he's going much less how to get there. Today was different. Gordon was spaced completely and Charles was a keen observer. And navigator par excellence.
Lunched in Lunenburg. A great little town, similar to Provincetown. Burgers all around sans the buns.
Mostly exploring the rest of the way to Shelburne, our selected overnight spot. Nothing that special along the way. Peggy's Cove was indeed the best.
Picked "Roseway River Cottages in Shelburne. A gem of a choice. Didn't take us five minutes to move in, make a G&T, light a cigar and sink into our porch chair overlooking the Roseway River. Incredible view of a truly perfect waterway. Perfect sound, perfect foliage, and an awesomely peaceful environment. We lucked out again.
Went to dinner at the Sea Dog brewery. Charles may not remember much of it as the gin was claiming an early victim! He mumbled something about " now that we're back in Oregon, what time does the tide go out?" Early to bed I think.
